Life’s a B*tch,” but God-forbid the b*tch divorce me – Nas
Kelis’s lawyer filed a contempt motion against Nas last week because he now owes over $200,000 in unpaid child support, along with attorney fees. Last year, he was ordered to pay Kelis over $50k a month in child and spousal support and hasn’t been able to keep up with the payments. Although Nas has plead Not Guilty he could face jail time if convicted.
Meanwhile, Nas vented about his child support situation and Kelis’s alleged affairs in a new song titled “Strong Will Continue”
Twisted and mangled, sort of like Bruce Lee life, cursed with his son Brandon. If that’s you and me Knight, I pray our fates greater. How in the hell am I supposed to stay comfy, when I pay child support, alimony monthly
…So I’ve stuck with some married women so fine, cheating while their husband rushing on the 40-yard line. Wonder if this is what my ex did the whole time.”
I’m sure he feels some sort of way every time Kelis hits the streets looking like Cruella Deville when he won’t be able to afford Jordans at the rate he’s going. All of this could have been avoided with a pre-nup. #IMJUSSAYIN

Rihanna Keeps Showing The Goodies
Everyday there’s a new picture of Rihanna with more and more of her body parts exposed. I feel sorry for Rihanna to a certain degree because she has been a victim of domestic violence. But then she comes out with pictures that are raunchy and half-naked to promote her new album, Rated R. Recently she was seen drunk to the point where she couldn’t control herself enough to keep her legs crossed so that her underwear didn't show. Rihanna is also the same artist who is the 2009 recipient of Glamour’s Woman of The Year Award, which is a contradiction to me. Is this how women conduct themselves nowadays? I’m not sure what message Rihanna is trying to convey to young girls.
During the same week, Beyonce was seen out with a short dress in London, however she used a jacket to cover her legs as she stepped out of the car. How can we expect to earn respect if we do not respect ourselves? It’s okay to wear a short dress and have a good time, but have some class while doing it and don’t blame it on the alcohol.
Chicago teen Derrion Albert was beaten to death by other black teens because he wouldn't join a neighborhood gang. A white man slaps a stranger's child in a Georgia Walmart and is sentenced to a year in prison. African American boy slaps a man because he tried to eat his chips. Which one is a crime? All of the above.
This past Super Bowl Sunday, a Doritos commercial that featured a a friendly black man, a black single mom and her delinquent son. The woman answered the door and waiting to surprise her with a bouquet of flowers was the friendly black man. She greets him with a smile, invites him in and introduces him to her son. The mother is wearing a halter top and a denim mini skirt, which catches her date's eye as she exits the room. The date reaches into a bowl of Doritos on the table and the angry young boy slaps him in the face and offers two threats: "keep your hands off my mama; keep your hands off my Doritos."
What many viewed as a cute little black kid who offered a fair warning to the new man in his mom's life, when this was a viral video that was traveling through e-mail cyberspace, saw things differently when it was viewed for national consumption. This young boy's action goes against a basic tenet, respect adults. The makers of this commercial were reckless and are promoters of violence and contempt. It disrespects single mothers because it places them in a negative light and presents them as incapable of rearing a young black man to be respectful and obedient. The mother clearly chastised the little boy when she left the room, asking him to be on his best behavior.
The young boy's assault on this stranger is a crime. This commercial is a promotion of the growth of criminals and chronic offenders, and should not be taken lightly. What seems like a minor offense could escalate into a crime as gross as the one that took the young, tender life of 16-year-old Derrion Albert. Shame on you if you believed this commercial was cute or if you agree with one writer who wrote this commercial was "simple, witty, and amazingly effective."
The fact that this commercial aired by Doritos maker Frito-Lay didn't even win the ad contest is an indication that this type of behavior is unpopular and simply ignorant. #imjustsayin...lets see it for what it is and not for what they want it to be....but what do you think?...leave a comment!
Nicki Minaj Incites Twitter Riot After Asking For #titpics lol
A herd of wanton women stormed Nicki Minaj’s Twitter page to drop pictures of their breasts in hopes that the provocative Young Money hit maker would sign them up for life.
Reacting to the overwhelming response to her peculiar request, Minaj tweeted: “Sometimez I do Twitter signing. If I retweet a twitpic of ur boobz, ur signed for life. Wanna play? Ok barbz. On ur mark! Get set. Go!!!”
The sexually provocative rapper said it all started when she announced would sign girls breasts after her show at Club Play in Miami; she is in town for the Super Bowl. Soon after, thousands of her followers on Twitter asked when she could do the same for them. Thus, the initiation of the contest. If Minaj likes your breasts, she would retweet them, therefore you would be signed up for life.
"So I told them I would virtually sign theirs if they TwitPic their boobs. I'll retweet it, and that'll mean they'll be signed for life," she told "MTV News." "I got, like, a thousand boobs to sign last night. I was so tired. I only signed, like, 20, but everybody's making a big deal out of that."
Perhaps the rapper should have known better than to think this could turn into anything but chaos. She has, after all, over a half-million followers on Twitter. Her fan base is so passionate for anything Nicki that they asked the salacious siren to name her own dictionary, called “Nictionary.” Every day, Nicki comes up with a new term for her followers.
As for the boobs TwitPic contest, Nicki told “MTV News” why women would send their breast photos to her.
"This is the truth: Girls dress up for girls. Girls buy cute shoes for girls. We want girls to think what we have is hot, hotter than what they have," she said. "I think with the boob signing, they like Nicki Minaj, and they want me to put my stamp of approval on their boobs. I think that autographs are overrated. Who does that anymore? Pictures are cute, but signing a person's boob and they take a picture of that, that's just dope. That's something when you get 80 years old you look at and be like, 'Wow, I had fun.' ”

During the telecast of Super Bowl XLIV, there were less than five black people who starred in commercials. In one of those rare moments, T-Pain made a cameo appearance in a Bud Light commercial that was void of diversity and reduced the artist to a caricature of himself.
The commercial begins with a white male who telephones several of his friends that converse with him in voices enhanced by Auto-Tune. Presented in the same format as 1999's "Whassup?" commercial, the lead male does not have one black friend but they all use the device that was popularized by black culture. The video becomes even more absurd when T-Pain co-signs by showing up at the end of the video saying, "Pass that guacamole" in Auto-Tune.
T-Pain likely received a check for his appearance, but he made a mockery of himself and allowed Bud Light to get away with disregarding the importance of diversity
BEING A MILLIONAIRE DOSNT MAKE YOU ANY SMARTER....OBVIOUSLY
On what was originally set to be his last weekend of freedom, Lil Wayne partied and handled business during Super Bowl weekend in Miami. In 48 hours, Lil Wayne shot 10 videos before attending the Super Bowl and having fun with family and friends at a going away party at Dolce.
But why has Lil Wayne become the latest black millionaire to face prison time? Other successful black men including T.I., Michael Vick, Gucci Mane and Plaxico Burress, have all served time during the prime of their careers. While citizens across the nation struggle to earn in a year what these men can make in a day, they risk everything that they work for by making bad decisions. Why did T.I. put his career on the line to buy illegal guns? Why did Vick's family and friends allow him to continue to engage in dogfighting. Who told Gucci Mane that it was OK to neglect the kids in his neighborhood by not completing his community service hours? And why did Burress and Lil Wayne need to carry a gun instead of hiring security?
The main reason these men are finding themselves behind bars is because they are not allowing reputable individuals with knowledge to give them guidance. By surrounding themselves with individuals who enable them and give them poor advice, they put themselves in a position to lose millions.
T.I., Lil Wayne and Gucci Mane will likely leave prison with more street credibility. Burress hopes for the same second chance that Vick received. But as Lil Wayne enters Rikers Island, we can only hope that he is the last black millionaire to be forced to relinquish his freedom due to stupidity.

KANYE GOT IN TOUCH WITH FAROUTENT...HE WANTS YOU TO KNOW
….that reports of him spazzing out on a plane because he was seated in business class instead of first are completely ridiculous:
"I feel bad that people believe this kind of stuff or any random rumor that is taken as fact because ‘it’s on the internet.’ This rumor is particularly ironic because I was actually happy with a business class seat and was offered a seat in first class. A friend of mine was sitting in coach so asked if they could bump him up to business instead of putting me in first. There was absolutely no altercation in any way. There’s been many a time where I’ve given someone in coach my business or first class seat in order to sit next to a friend I bumped into. I really could care less about where I sit on the plane. It’s hard to deal with the rumors sometimes. As a good person with a warm heart, it does bother me. I’m not bigger than feeling pain, embarrassment, stress and worry. Have you ever been lied on??? How does it make you feel??? You wanna tell everybody it’s not true right? Thank you to all my fans who still love and support me even though it’s not the trend right now! I’m sleeping in the studio and I won’t let you guys down!"
…and just because he took the time to turn off his caps lock, I believe him…
And unlike Kanye, I care where i sit on a plane. but unfortunatly i dnt have the money to complain lol… how do ya'll feel bout kanye? do you think he's on the up and up?

According to a recent GQ article, these 3 together killed the “gangsta” image in Rap. I’m sure somewhere Kanye is screaming about how he had the pinkest Polo’s of all time but that’s beside the point. If Gentleman’s Quarterly is to be believed, one cannot help but wonder what did Wale, Drake, and Cudi do to drive out a character that has been as pervasive in the industry as gold chains.
Music has been peppered by the likes of 3000, Common, and Mr. West but never simultaneously and with such widespread success. As a proud Hip Hop head, I can attest to the skills exhibited by plenty of non-thug rappers over the years and their relative success but the mainstream appeal of these new jacks is a little jarring. People are taking note mostly because it all seems to be happening at once. In explaining the “gangsta killers” phenomenon, I would point to a few factors that may have influenced this shift, the first being attributed to the our Hip Hop head of state.
President Obama along with his First Family ushered in an image of Black America that wasn’t new but had yet to be subscribed to.There is something undeniably Hip Hop about Barack Obama. He walks like a ballplayer and has a mastery of language that could rival Rakim’s. People know that Obama is cool and his qualifications and political skill allowed them to vote for the smart, cool, black guy. With his election and the movement that accompanied it, many Americans have been able to experience Blackness that affirms more than guns, drugs, and hoes and I think the power of that experience has made its way into the buying power of the masses.
And then there was the Internet. While in years past, an emcee would have to struggle for distribution through a major label to get his songs to the masses, artists like Wale, Drake, and Kid Cudi have been able to use internet downloading as a proving ground for their unique brands of Hip Hop. In short, millions of downloads equal leverage. So instead of being molded into 50 Cent by label heads, now artists can blow up off of a mixtape while maintain their artistic integrity. There is no better example of this than Drake. After the huge success of his mixtape and the ensuing buzz, the rapper was able to secure a deal selling his music and image as is (a Canadian former star of a teen soap opera.)
With Hip Hop transitioning to allow for wider expression, I’d look to see what effect, if any, it will have on the culture as a whole. It brings me to question whether or not the “gangsta” will ever be killed in Hip Hop without the archetype being killed in our society?
These and other questions will hopefully be answered on mixtapes and albums to come, what do you think?…
